No, 19-month old Oscar Ramsay is not the grandson of MasterChef Junior Gordon Ramsay, 54. While the British chef gets these 'granddad' comments a lot these days, he finally corrected the misconception.

Oscar is Gordon Ramsay's son, the youngest of his brood. He has five children together with his wife Tana Ramsay, 46. The couple previously had a miscarriage, so any insensitive comments are quickly put right.

The father-of-five recounted his experience going out with his wife, eldest son Jack, 20, and youngest son Oscar. Ramsay shared how everyone assumed Oscar was Jack's son, Zee Business reported.

The celebrity chef complained about getting 'must be a proud granddad' comments from strangers. Ramsay revealed how he would answer in an irritated way correcting people that Oscar is his and Tana's baby. The restaurateur put his foot down adding that he does not want to hear another 'granddad' comment.

MasterChef Junior Gordon Ramsay, a Fitness Buff

It can be appalling for someone who takes their fitness seriously in their 50s to get caught off-guard about their age. While the famous food judge indulges in the most exquisite tastes, he does not take his health for granted. He exercises regularly and often participates in activities that would test his strength and endurance.

Meanwhile, Ramsay is proud of his eldest son Jack's first Ironman challenge. He also shared how all his kids entered the London Marathon to help raise money to benefit the Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.

Ramsay's wife Tana is also in for her 10th marathon while Gordon himself has his 15th London marathon coming up. The celebrated chef is also preparing for 5 ultra marathons and 2 LAs, Hello Magazine reported.

Are you mistaken for being your kid's grandparent?

MasterChef Gordon Ramsay is not the only one experiencing the parent crisis. There is an increasing trend of giving birth later. The number of women ages 40-44 who are giving birth later in life is rising.

Tampa Bay Moms reported how, at this age, the common reaction may be to smile and nod, but that it would not be truthful. Correcting the comment may be awkward, but at times would be necessary.

Scary Mommy also outlined the stages parents who give birth later in life experience when they are mistaken for being their child's grandparents. It starts with shock which can turn into anger and depression.

At this point, Ramsay warns commenters he would "hit the roof" if he hears one more 'granddad' comment. Anger is listed as the third stage of being mistaken for being your child's grandparent.

The 'anger' stage comes after denial and before bargaining, or trying to not look like one's age through appearance or fitness. Apparently, such parents can experience guilt for not giving birth earlier and may start to feel bad about the way they look in contrast to their babies.

However, finally there would be acceptance. As the number of women giving birth later in life increase, the situation is becoming less of a taboo.
