The pandemic forced many to work from home. Since then, many employees are enjoying remote and flexi-time work options. Want to go all the way? Upwork revealed that more than 40% of the American workforce continues remote work. Millions of Americans are expected to continue to work from home through 2025, Flexjobs revealed.

Work from home jobs are not just for those with a degree. There are some high-paying jobs that do not require a college diploma. This is good news for those who left college without a credential. In the United States, there are around 36 million people who dropped out of college, though nearly 4 million return to college and approximately 1 million complete their course.

High-Paying Jobs You Can Do from Home

Researchers from the University of Chicago looked into the types of jobs that can be done from home. Business Insider proceeded to categorize which jobs are high-paying, can be done from home, and do not require a college degree. Some of these jobs need a high school diploma, while others do not require any formal education to get started. 

Sales

If you have a knack for selling, you can bring in a lot of money from home with these jobs. Those with a high school diploma can work as insurance sales agents. Over 400,000 people work this type of job and earn as much as $67,780 a year.

A more lucrative career in sales employees over a million people and earns over $71,000-wholesale and manufacturing sales representatives. The good thing is the products do not need to be technical or scientific for those with a high school diploma.

The top-earners in sales are first-line supervisors who manage non-retail sales workers. They have a take-home pay of around $86,180.

Real Estate

If you have any equivalent of a high school degree, you can kickstart your career in real estate as a real estate broker. Other jobs in real estate pay less in commissions but still pay a lot. These include property managers, community associations, and real estate managers. It is also easier to become a property manager than a real estate broker.

Office Work

Executive secretaries and administrative assistants of C-level executives earn more than $62,000 without graduating from college. Over half a million people are employed in this type of work. However, there are over a million and a half employees who earn around $60,000 as first-line supervisors of office and administrative support workers.

Investigators

You can work from home as an examiner, claims adjuster, or investigator and earn around $68,940. A more high-paying option, intelligence analysts, make over $86,000. This type of job includes detective work and criminal investigation that can be done remotely.

Transportation

First-line supervisors of transportation and material moving workers earn around $57,840. Nearly half a million are employed in this type of work. However, you cannot do this work remotely f it involves aircraft cargo handling.

Finally, the highest paying work from home job that does not require a degree goes to transportation, storage, and distribution managers. They can earn six figures from home.
