The web is filled with wonderful home-improvement ideas, but many of them are not accessible. Not everyone has the time, expertise, and resources needed to take on a big project like tearing down walls in their house or renovating their entire kitchen.

With that in mind, here are some ideas that you can use to revitalize your room in a single afternoon. All without having to spend large sums of money.

1 - Get some new accessories

You can change the look and few of your entire living room just by getting some new pillows and cushions. Or even by getting colorful covers that you can put on top of your existing cushions. How about antique and vintage lighting that stood the test of time and will last forever? The options are endless if you just have an open mind!

The same holds true for a variety of other home accessories. Carpets, table cloths, drapes, chair covers, and other accessories can all help give new life to any room in your home. Playing with different colors and designs can make rooms look more spacious, intimate, welcoming, or sterile. But most important of all - it can make a room look new to everyone who has lived in your house for several years.

2 - Paint a wall

Don't want to go through the trouble of painting your entire house? Just paint a single wall instead. Adding color to a single wall in an otherwise conservative room can make a big difference. And it can be done with little effort.

If you don't want to go through the trouble of painting the entire wall, there are other cheap alternatives. Some 3d wallpapers can be bought for very affordable rates online, and they're easy to install. And if you enjoy some DIY projects, there are plenty of wall-decorating ideas out there that can be completed using simple school supplies. Or even by just using a combination of electric tape and patience.

3 - Get some cheap decorations

Spending a fortune on indoor-decoration won't guarantee that you'll get something tasteful. And on the same note, spending little doesn't mean that you'll get something that looks drab. There are plenty of cheap wall decorations available out there, from paintings to printed artworks and old movie posters. And hanging up a bunch of new decorations is an easy way to change the feeling of a room.

4 - Change the lighting of your rooms

The importance of lighting for interior decoration can't be overstated. And one of the easiest ways to completely change the feeling of a room is to get some new lights installed.

Try ordering a vintage-looking 12 volt led light online. Modern society has turned boring white lights into a standard in schools and office spaces around the world, but there is no reason why your home should follow the same trend.

Led lights can also be used to light your outdoor spaces, and help to give them new life.

5 - Get some plants

Whether they are real or made out of plastic, plants and flowers are often a great addition to indoor spaces. And some plants can help improve the air quality of your indoor spaces as well.
