Pregnancy can be hard, not just physically but also mentally. Coming to terms with the changes that your body is undergoing may not come that easy to you. Of course, not every change is permanent. Some women are able to get back their pre-pregnancy body a year or so after birth. However, that's not always the case. Your boobs and skin around the abdomen may sag. You may have localized fat pockets in different areas.

That's why many women choose to have a "mommy makeover," where they get breast surgery, liposuction, and a tummy tuck together to transform their bodies. And if you've been thinking of getting one too but feeling hesitant about it, you can take inspiration from some celebrities who took the same path after childbirth.

Cardi B

Many moms might find this rapper even more relatable after finding out that Cardi B had got some work done after giving birth to her daughter. According to her, she had a boob job because her daughter "f-ked" her up. And while doing a concert, she also revealed that she had liposuction.

Well, Cardi has defended her choice to do so by saying that a) it's her body (and we couldn't agree more) b) the gym wasn't helping c) her boobs weren't going to lift themselves. And so the Bodak Yellow singer openly admitted to a kind of "mommy makeover."

Rachel Bloom

The Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star had breast reduction surgery after giving birth to her child. She had gone to have a G cup from double to triple D. On her Instagram, she said, "I started to get underboob rashes, shoulder grooving (when your bra strap digs into your skin), neck issues and night sweats (I couldn't fall asleep unless I had a pillow in BETWEEN my breasts)." Her breasts were also causing her different aches and pains, and so she decided to get surgery for it.

Amber Rose

Model, actress, and reality TV star Amber Rose got full body liposuction just 6 weeks after the surgery. She got it for her jowls and abdomen. This may not have been safe because plastic surgeons at Longevita recommend waiting for at least 6 months before getting any kind of cosmetic surgery. That's because the tissues in your abdomen need adequate time to heal.

Patricia Heaton

Patricia Heaton of Everybody Loves Raymond and The Middle got a mommy makeover after she gave birth to her four sons. In an interview with People magazine, she said, "had four C-sections. I gained 50 lbs. with every kid and I'm 5'2″. Wasn't pretty. It just does something to your body." And so she had a breast augmentation and tummy tuck surgery. The results from the surgeries made her feel more confident.

Kate Gosselin

The star of Kate Plus 8 who gave birth to twins and sextuplets got tummy tuck surgery to get a flat stomach and a more toned body. The birth of 8 children had left the skin around her skin sagging, loose and wrinkled, which is why she made the decision to get surgery.

Conclusion

Now it's true that celebs have to stay in the limelight which is why they have to maintain a certain aesthetic. But that's not always the case. Not feeling comfortable in your own body and skin can make you feel less confident. You may also feel like hiding yourself. And sometimes exercise and diet just don't work out to give you your pre-pregnancy body back. In that case, you can also consider getting plastic surgery.
