Google Nexus 2015: Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P Flagship Launched – Everything You Should Know [Nexus Release Date, Specs & Price]

For those who are waiting for Google's next smartphones, here's a good news: the American multinational technology company who is very popular for their Internet related services and products has finally unveiled their new flagships. Google introduces two new promising Nexus devices.

Last Tuesday, Google unveiled a pair of phones: Nexus 5X from LG and Nexus 6P from Huawei. These devices were shown at a Google event in San Francisco, according to CNET.

The report suggests that Nexus are not a megahit but they are crucial in promoting Google' Android operating system, the mobile software that runs over 80 percent of the world's smartphones and tablets. Both Nexus smartphones run with the latest version of Android. They will serve as example of the latest software's potential and power.

For those who are eager to learn more about the two devices, here are the information we gathered on each Nexus model.

According to Gizmodo, Nexus 5X is not exactly a clone but more of a new generation of the Nexus 5. It is a bit bigger at 5.2 inches and is equipped with requisite updates from the processor to other hardware features like Nexus Imprint (a fingerprint sensor), USB-Type C, and with an improved camera sensor and features.

Nexu 5X's specs include a RAM of 2GB and a storage of 16GB or 32GB. It is powered by Snapdragon 808, equipped with 2700mAh battery and comes with a display of 423 PPI. For those who love to take selfies, its rear camera has 13 MP and 5MP for its front. Nexus 5X promises to have fast Android updates as well.

On the other hand, Nexus 6P is Google's flagship phablet for the year, BGR reports. It comes with 5.7-inch AMOLED display WQHD resolution. That's 2560 x 1440 pixels, which works out to a very impressive pixel density of 518 PPI.

Nexus 6P is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor that offers an impressive speed and a 64-bit architecture. It comes with a unibody aluminum design, making it Google's premium smartphone ever. However, here's a good news, despite its metal case, the device remains lightweight at 178 grams. It is lighter compared to Apple's new iPhone 6S Plus with a smaller 5.5-inch display weighing 199 grams.

Nexus 6P includes 3GB of RAM, dual front-facing stereo speakers, a Micro USB Type-C Port, 12.3MP main camera, an 8MP front camera and 3,450 mAH battery. It also comes in either 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB of storage.

What's most impressive about these devices is their price. Nexus 5X's starting price is $349 while Nexus 6P starts at $499. Both phones are available for pre-order but, won't ship until October.
