Here are eight Abuela approved ways to decorate your casita to enjoy an "Encanto" celebration:

1. Decorate doors or archways and entryways with paper flowers and colorful streamers.

It won't be a party without the colorful streamers to bring the "Encanto" party vibe. To do that, cut out strands of paper in bright and bold colors to attach to a curtain rod to be mounted to the wall. As an accent, follow this YouTube guide on creating simple but beautiful flowers using papercraft. Your house will look as if it was Isabela Madrigal's enchanting magic spell that did the beautiful decorations.

2. Make goody bags with the same flower decorations.

Coordinate the same flower theme to the goody bags to be given to the party guests. Don't worry about the boys. They'll instantly get what the flowers are all about and will not have any qualms a goody bag decorated with flowers.

3. Fill the bags with "Encanto" necklaces.

"Encanto" party favors are also all over E-bay, such as these cute necklaces featuring every character to put inside the goody bags. Kids will surely love their very own Luisa Madrigal necklace!

4. Set up the "Encanto" backdrop.

If you're not confident with your artistic skills, you can purchase a customized "Encanto" backdrop on Etsy. While you're there, you can also easily find the right party supplies for banners, other party decorations from the same store.

Since the movie has a big hit, it's not hard to find "Encanto" merchandise online, including some Bruno party favors -- even if the Madrigal family in the movie says they don't want to talk about him!

5. Bake Bruno Cupcakes!

Magical Adventure Guide has a recipe for a Bruno-inspired cupcake complete with the green glass tablet. If you recall, Mirabel, the movie's lead, found these shiny green objects in Bruno's room at the enchanted casita, and learned that it's from Bruno's powerful vision glass.

The cupcake recipe replicates the glasses as shards of candies made of green food coloring, granulated sugar, water, corn syrup, and cream of tartar. Here's the step-by-step guide to baking the Bruno cupcakes.

6. Prepare Colombian party foods like Bunuelos, Arepas, Cocadas, and Coconut Limeade.

Many people confuse "Encanto" as a Mexican movie but it's actually Colombian. While there are some similarities in their culture and food, the Colombians has a unique culinary choice since it's also influenced by European settlers. Watch this video for some ideas on what easy party foods to prepare for the party.

7. Add an "Encanto" replica candle.

In the movie, Abuela Alma's candle was like the vessel that contained the blessings for the Madrigal family and their enchanted house. Replicas of this candle are also available via Etsy and other online stores and you can either put these at each party table or line them by the stairs or at the mantle by the wall.

8. Don't forget the music!

By now, your family may have the "Encanto" music on loop and the party is another reason for you to blast those songs over and over again. It might even be fun to have a singing contest among the party guests with an Encanto-themed prize as a reward.
