A Tiktok video showing a group of passengers on a plane singing "Baby Shark" to comfort a crying child has been viewed seven million times as people praised the kindness of the passengers on board.

Parkishit Balochi took the video while flying from Dubai onboard the United Arab Emirates and headed to Albania for a four-day backpacking trip on March 10, The Insider reports.

Passengers sang "Baby Shark"

Balochi said that before the five-hour flight took off, a child, about four years of age, sitting next to him, started crying. The passenger behind him began to murmur the words "Baby Shark," and in the hopes of comforting the child, he decided to do the same.

He said he was used to public speaking as a radio host, so he started singing "Baby Shark" out loud, and everyone joined in. This resulted in the nine-second video showing several passengers clapping and singing "Baby Shark." Two people lowered their masks to make funny faces at the child while others laughed in their seats.

The video ended with the father trying to get his son to smile for the camera. However, his son looks around the cabin with a confused look on his face.

According to Motherly News, the singing must have worked because Balochi posted a follow-up video of a content and happy toddler during midflight.

Baby Shark Video Going Viral

Balochi had less than 5,000 Tiktok followers, but when he posted the recent "Baby Shark video," it earned 7 million views and still counting.

He said that passengers were already singing and clapping for about 20 seconds before he started filming.

The video also earned heartwarming comments from netizens, especially from parents who know exactly how hard to soothe a crying baby on a plane.

Asiaweek noted a parent's comment saying that as a mom, the video warmed her heart and made her cry. She said so many heartless people are mean and are annoyed by kids. Crying kids in public puts more stress on the parents to calm down the kids.

Another parent commented that this should happen more often. Sometimes, parents have no choice but to fly. The father also thanked the passenger for being "awesome humans."

One comment which earned 7,000 likes simply said, "humanity" with a wide-eyed emoji.

A certain Sarah Beckwith also commented about seeing what can happen if everyone works together instead of against each other.

"Baby Shark" is a popular children's song, earning the reputation of the first YouTube video to be viewed 10 billion times. It became a viral Tiktok dance trend in 2017 and has inspired a full-length movie for release next year.

Balochi thinks the video got such positive reactions as it reminds people to have some tolerance. He added that the video could be a gentle reminder that it is not the end of the world and it is only a child who may be disturbing their peace.
