Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, Daughter of Nick and Priyanka, Spent 100 Days in NICU After Birth

Fans of Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas got a pleasant surprise on Sunday after the couple shared the first photo of their daughter on their respective Instagram accounts. The couple posted the same image of Chopra cradling their baby daughter, Malti Marie, while Jonas leaned over her shoulder to hold his little girl's hand.

Today reported that both penned a lengthy message in the caption about their parenthood journey, which they first announced back in January when the couple revealed they welcomed their first child via surrogate.

Jonas and Chopra made another stunning revelation on Sunday, telling their followers for the first time that their baby girl was in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for more than 100 days after her birth. The couple wrote that on this Mother's Day, they couldn't help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster they have been on, which they now know, so many people have also experienced.

The caption further stated, "After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home. Every family's journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is."

The couple said they were overjoyed that their little girl was finally home. According to People magazine, Jonas and Chopra gave thanks to every doctor, nurse, and specialist at Rady Children's La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who they said were there selflessly every step of the way.

The couple said that their next chapter begins now and that their baby is truly a bada**. Jonas had a loving message to his daughter, "Let's get it, M! Mommy, and Daddy love you."

Jonas concluded his caption by greeting all the incredible mothers a Happy Mother's Day. He made special mention of his wife Chopra, writing that he wanted to take a minute to say a special Mother's Day wish to Chopra on her first Mother's Day.

Jonas pays tribute to Chopra in a loving message on Mother's Day

Jonas paid tribute to Chopra, who he lovingly calls "babe," writing that she inspires him in every way. Jonas said that Chopra is taking this new role with such ease and steadiness, and he is so grateful to be on this journey with her. Before writing "Happy Mother's Day" and "I love you, Jonas told Chopra that she is an incredible mother."

According to Page Six, Chopra, for her part, added her message to her husband, Nick, at the end of her own Instagram post. The Bollywood star wrote that there is no one she'd rather do this with than her husband Nick, thanking the musician for making her a mother.

The power couple commented on one another's posts, with Jonas simply sharing a red heart emoji while Chopra shared a crying emoji and a heart eyes emoji, adding "I love you" to her comment.
