Kelly Osbourne is going to be a mother! The 37-year-old Fashion Police alum announced on Thursday, May 12, that she is expecting her first baby with her Slipknot rocker boyfriend Sid Wilson.

Osbourne shared the exciting pregnancy news on social media platform Instagram, posting a selfie of herself holding an ultrasound photo, according to NBC News. Osbourne opened her caption by writing "I know that I have been very quiet these past few months so I thought I would share with you all as to why."

Osbourne then delivered her stunning announcement, telling her followers that she is over the moon that she is "going to be a Mumma." According to Osbourne, to say that she happy does not quite cut it. She ended her post by writing "I am ecstatic!"

Osbourne made no secret of her desire to have kids

The expecting mom revealed back in February that she is dating her "best friend" and "soulmate" Sidney George Wilson. Osbourne opened up last year about wanting children and feeling "behind" in life due to her previous struggles with substance abuse.

Osbourne confessed on the Facebook Watch show "Red Table Talk" in April of last year that as a woman, she would have loved to be married and have kids by now. She noted in the interview that her brother, Jack Osbourne, already has three daughters. Jack announced back in March that he is expecting his fourth child with his fiancée, Aree Gearhart.

According to USA Today, Osbourne said at the time that having kids was not in the cards for her yet. She told the hosts that she would have been no kind of mother at all because she was that crazy addict before. She said "Oh yeah, I'll stop doing drugs when I get pregnant because I have to. Like, that's insane that I would ever even think that."

Osbourne opens up about recent relapse

The former "Fashion Police" co-host revealed in April 2021 that she had relapsed after nearly four years of sobriety. Osbourne said at the time on her Instagram story that this topic is a little hard for her to talk about, but she has always promised her fans and followers that she will always be honest to them. Osbourne did say that she was "back on track" following the relapse.

According to People Magazine, Osbourne and Wilson have known each other since 1999, when the two met while Slipknot toured with Ozzfest, the music festival that was founded by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. A source told the magazine in January that they have remained friends since that first meeting and that their relationship has turned romantic.

Osbourne confirmed the relationship in a romantic Valentine's Day Instagram post, writing "After 23 years of friendship I can't believe where we have ended up! You are my best friend, my soulmate and I am so deeply in love with you Sidney George Wilson."
