'The Mentalist' Amanda Righetti is going to have a Baby

"The Mentalist" actress Amanda Righetti is going to be a mom.

This is the first child for the actress and her filmmaker husband Jordan Alan. The couple are reportedly overjoyed with the news. The baby will arrive in this winter.

"She is very excited and feeling great," a friend confirmed the news to People magazine.

The gender of the baby has not revealed.  

"They are going to keep the gender of the baby a surprise!" a friend told People. 

"Thank you all for the congratulatory well wishes. @jordanalan00 and I are very excited and looking forward to this new chapter in our lives," Righetti told her fans on Twitter on Tuesday.  

Righetti was born in Utah and raised in Nevada. She tied the knot with film director and writer Alan in 2006. She began working as a film producer and is well known for her role as Grace Van Pelt on CBS'  "The Mentalist," along with other roles in "Friday the 13^th" and "The O.C."
