Perez Hilton, Son Snap Shower Selfie: Blogger Slammed Online For Shared Bath [Poll] Is It 'Creepy'?

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton is again in the middle of a controversy because of a selfie he posted on Instagram. According to a report from Yahoo! Celebrity, the photo, which has 2,699 likes as of press time, shows him and his two-year-old son, Mario, taking a bath together.

The father and son were all smiles as they take the photo top view, showing only Perez and Mario's heads. The picture was captioned, "‘Our family motto is: #fun! We try and incorporate fun into as much of the everyday things we do! #Bathtime."

However, Daily Mail noted that not everyone seemed to find the photo harmless. The controversial picture elicited a lot of reaction on Instagram, with some followers saying that it was "kinda creepy" and "odd." One user even wrote, "IS THIS A JOKE THEY’RE BOTH NAKED" while another said, "this is child abuse."

The 35-year-old blogger, whose real name is Mario Lavanderia, was quick to defend himself against the bashers. "I had my bathing suit on, and I didn’t feel the need to clarify that in the caption," he explained.

But other people on Instagram showed their support. One comment said, "Who hasn't showered or bathed with their parents as babies?! Bloody hell, it's like some people aren't happy until they can point a finger at someone for something they make up in their heads and deem sinister. Get a frigging grip."

Another follower also commended Perez's parenting skills. "Good parenting and an obviously very happy kiddo there! Saves time, saves water and is great bonding. Don't change a thing!"

This is not the first time that Perez has been in a controversy. Inquistr notes that the blogger always gets a backslash due to his sharp, sarcastic comments on celebrities.

After the controversial picture, Inquistr reported that Perez uploaded another photo. This time, it showed Mario taking a bath. He captioned it with a message that addressed the controversy: "Don't let the world change you. Change the world!”

Yahoo! Celebrity said that Perez has two kids born via surrogated, Mario and younger daughter Mia Alma.
