Mom Berates Husband on Youtube Livestream After He Forgot to Feed and Change Baby for Four Hours

A recent post sent Reddit buzzing after a woman shared that her husband prioritized Youtube livestreaming over changing and feeding his seven-month-old daughter for four hours as the mom went out to buy groceries.

Using the name u/Sadiawil977 on Reddits' AITA forum, the post went viral with more than 26.7k upvotes and 2.1k comments. The husband said that livestreaming is good for his mental health and engaging with his followers makes him better at socializing and communicating.

However, lately, the husband complained that he had not been livestreaming for days. With a seven-month-old baby to take care of, the mom suggested that they need to look at their schedules and see if they could make it happen.

No food or diaper change for four hours

That day, the woman said she went out shopping for a few hours while she asked her husband to look after the baby. When she came back, however, she said she was in for a surprise.

While shopping, she kept calling her husband to check on the baby. He assured her that everything was okay, the baby was alright, and that she was sleeping. She then started feeling weird because her baby should have been hungry or needed a diaper change during her away hours.

According to Newsweek, when she returned home, she found the baby girl alone in the room, lying with her soiled diaper and an entire bottle of milk beside her, while her husband was in his office livestreaming with the door closed.

The woman was appalled. She barged into her husband's office and saw him sitting. The woman said she blew while he was trying to turn his mic off, telling her to stop. The wife said that she was so mad that she did not stop. She criticized him for leaving their daughter alone unattended with no milk nor diaper change in the last four hours.

The husband blamed her for ignoring his needs which he had already expressed earlier, adding that he forgot to do what she asked of him. He also accused her of ending his entire channel and destroying his fan base after interrupting his livestream and scandalizing him.

The couple argued until the woman decided to leave and stay at her mother's house. After a few days, her husband asked her to return home as he missed his daughter.

Slammed for neglecting the child

Reddit users were also not happy with what the father did. One user said the husband was "straight up neglecting his human child for some viewers." She added that if the incident happened to her, she would seriously reevaluate their marriage as a child's well-being and safety should always be a priority.

Many also expressed concern about leaving the baby unattended for hours. As per Legal Match, children aged seven years and below should not be left alone in cars, backyards, playgrounds, or at home as per Department of Health and Human Services guidelines.
