A Florida mom of three was allegedly shot to death in the backseat of a Uber by a fellow passenger following a heated argument, according to authorities.

According to an arrest warrant that WPLG-TV obtained, Gladys Yvette Borcela was allegedly fatally shot by 24-year-old Natalia Harrell in the city of Miami on Saturday, July 23.

Harrell and the 28-year-old Borcela were reportedly in a packed Uber with five other passengers when the former allegedly grabbed a gun out of her purse and shot the latter.

Suspect fired a single shot at the victim, leading to her death

According to the arrest warrant obtained by the TV station, surveillance footage from inside the Uber vehicle showed the two women getting into an argument that escalated. Harrell, in turn, allegedly reached into her purse and pulled out a gun. She fired a single shot at Borcela.

The Uber driver stopped the vehicle immediately after the shooting. Six passengers, including the suspect, fled the scene. Borcela reportedly did not make it out of the Uber and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

A witness allegedly told cops Harrell was upset that the victim was dancing and drinking at a venue earlier in the night, prompting the suspect to text the witness to "get her girl under control," according to People Magazine.

When the venue closed, a group of individuals, including Harrell and Borcela, ordered a Uber for a ride home. The two women started to argue while seated in the same row, according to the outlet.

The witness said Harrell moved to the front of the SUV as she continued arguing with Borcela. She then faced the other passengers and allegedly shouted that they didn't want this and didn't want her to go in her purse.

GoFundMe campaign organized by victim's mom

She allegedly reached into her purse and fired a single gunshot at Borcela, killing her in the process. The victim's mother has organized a GoFundMe campaign. She described Borcela as a mom of three who will forever be remembered as the life of the party, according to the New York Post.

The fundraiser's description stated that she always held her hand out for anyone that needed her, even when she had battles of her own. The statement added that she put her three beautiful children first, and now they have to grow up and only hear of memories of their beautiful mother. The grieving mom added that she does not even know how to tell her grandchildren that someone took their mother away.

Jail records indicate that Harrell has been charged with second-degree murder, and she is currently being held without bond. It was not immediately clear if Harrell retained an attorney to comment on her behalf or entered a plea to the murder charge.
