A father involved in a bitter custody battle had to rush to the house of his ex-wife to rescue his children after she posted a live video feed on Instagram to say that she has killed them.

Jermaine Roberts raced to Janee Pedescleaux's house on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. after he watched his ex-wife's bloodied face as she wailed about her children, a 2-year-old Jaceon and a 4-year-old Paris.

Daily Mail reported that footage of Roberts, as taken from a neighbor's phone, showed the father pulling up, getting out of his white truck and then bursting inside the house. He later stepped out carrying his daughter while his wounded son was trying to follow behind them.

Roberts rushed his kids to the hospital where Paris was declared dead while Jaceon is currently being monitored but in critical condition. The toddler suffered multiple stab wounds like his sister.

Father filed for sole custody

Pedescleaux was apparently bemoaning the fact that she's "done with life" and blamed her ex-husband for her misery. According to 4WWL, Roberts filed for sole custody of their kids in April and they were going to start their custody battle in late August.

The father raised his concern to the court because his ex-wife could not provide a healthy and stable environment for the children. The mother apparently drinks, takes non-prescription pills and drives under the influence.

Roberts also said that his ex-wife started preventing him from seeing their kids when he had a new relationship. The petition for sole custody, however, allowed Pedescleaux to visit the children.

Court records also showed that Pedescleaux was arrested for petty crimes, drugs, using fake prescriptions, and aggravated assault. In 2021, she was also charged for damage to property.

Pedescleaux's live video has been deleted by Instagram. She has been held in custody at the Orleans Justice Center. The mother is facing charges of second-degree murder, second-degree cruelty to a juvenile and attempted murder.

Mom fakes deaths in a bitter custody battle

In a similar story, a mother has faked her death and her son's death before fleeing to the U.S. from Canada using stolen identities. According to Fox13, Dawn Walker wanted to avoid a custody battle with her ex-husband.

Walker allegedly picked up her son from his father a week before going "missing." Reports reached the local police that their things were found in a local park. Early investigations indicated that Walker and her son may have been swept away in the water while going fishing.

However, a series of financial transactions led investigators to Walker's actual trail, including the stolen identities. Canadian authorities worked with Oregon law enforcement to trace Walker and her son in a rented Airbnb, where she was arrested. Police found a checklist for faking the deaths.

The mother has been charged with parental abduction, aggravated identity theft and possession of false identification documents.
