The police expressed grave concern about a 4-year-old British boy who had gone missing after vacationing in Turkey with his mother and appealed for an urgent search and assistance from the public.

An immediate and drastic hunt is currently happening to find George Jack Temperley-Wells, who was last seen at the Marina Area in Antalya, Turkey. He was assumed to have been traveling from Darlington with his mom on June 29, as reported by Sunday World.

Temperley-Wells has red hair, a pale complexion, and dark eyes, while his mother, Brogan Elizabeth Temperley, 28, has the same dark eyes, long dark hair, and a slender body build.

Boy spent time with father before reported missing

Mother and son allegedly spent time with the missing boy's 41-year-old father, Scott Nigel Wells, while they were in Turkey, with a recent photo as proof, where the three were seen smiling for the camera together in what was assumed to be a restaurant.

As of this writing, there have been no updates or any information about the child's location or status.

The Daily Star reported that the Durham Constabulary spokesperson had already pleaded to the public, stating, "Police have serious concerns for his welfare and need to urgently locate George and speak with his mother."

The public has been encouraged to contact Turkey or United Kingdom authorities straightaway if they have seen the mother and son or have been in contact with the former so that authorities can confirm their whereabouts and provide them assistance to go back home if need be.

To report sightings or provide information, Durham Constabulary said to not hesitate and call 101 if in the United Kingdom and quote incident number 325 dated June 30. For those who are in Turkey, on the other hand, kindly visit the nearest police station or call emergency numbers 112 and 115.

Speculations arise on social media

Durham Constabulary had also sought help from Facebook users by posting photos and information about the missing boy on their page.

The post had already garnered almost 3,500 shares and 139 comments from when it was created 17 hours ago. Comments mostly expressed sympathy and prayers for finding the child as soon as possible.

Comments, however, on speculations that the boy ought not to be with his parents were arising. One Facebook user insisted that if the child was last seen with his parents and they are not reporting him as missing, the boy isn't missing unless he was "taken unlawfully."

A certain Abra Wood also commented, "How's he missing? He's with his parents? Or should he not be with them for some reason?" Many agreed. Some said not to focus on what was not reported by the police and offered help in finding the missing child for his safety.

"It's not really anybody's business what has gone on. The police have just appealed for people to help," Kim Marshall expressed.
