The Pretty Baby actress breaks down after her eldest daughter leaves home and heads off to college for her sophomore year. Brooke Shields posted an emotional Instagram video and opened up about her daughter leaving home for the second time for college.

On Thursday, the iconic model thought that waving goodbye and sending her daughter off the school would be easier, especially the second time around but for the actress, it didn't turn out that way as it appears to be tough for her. She stated in her posted video that her daughter has been with her since summer and it made her miss her eldest so much.

The founder of Beginning is Now said that she couldn't send off her daughter, Rowan, 19 years old, into the campus and so she was driving with her dad, Chris Henchy. She added that her daughter was taking her car which was actually the actress' graduation present car. She also said in her posted video that children growing is tough for her but she needs to face it but admitted that it was really for her as she thinks parents would raise their children but they will soon leave the nest.

The Endless Love actress says that if there's anybody else going through the same situation as her, they're all in it together, per ABC News.

Brooke faces empty nest syndrome with her eldest child

Empty nest syndrome is what parents normally feel when their children move out of home and head off to either school or work. Such conditions are more common in women as they had the role of primary career.

Children leaving the nest is something many parents can relate to as they also experience such and are seen as stages of being a parent. Celebrities, followers, and fans have shown Brooke that is with her through such battles as they had similar emotions they experienced when they also sent their kids off to school.

Kelly Ripa, co-host of the morning talk show Live with Kelly and Ryan, told Brooke that it will get easier as time goes on as she was already empty nesting. She teased the model that by the third one, she would barely slow her vehicle down.Brooke appeared on an episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan in November. In the episode, she revealed what she went through when she take Rowan to her first year of college at Wake Forest University and calls it the worst thing she has experienced in her life, per People.

The Endless Love actress and the American Screenwriter, Chris Henchy, tied the knot in 2001. After two years of being married together, they share their first child, Rowan, who was born in 2003, and her daughter Grier who was later born in 2006.

Closer Weekly has revealed that Brooke Shields loves being a mom and the primary reasons are her beautiful daughters which are Rowan Henchy and Grier Henchy.

Brooke admitted that being a mom was not easy as she also has a busy schedule in the entertainment industry but soon found a way to handle her time so she can still have time for her children and she learned how to embrace her imperfections as a working mom.
