A family from Kentucky is trying to track down two young men who did something special for them last week. Their kind actions have left a lasting impression on the family while they were vacationing in Orange Beach.

What these men may have thought was a small gesture on their part is being seen as a huge and important deal in one Kentucky household. They helped Vicky Johnson get down to the Gulf and enjoy the beach on the last day of their family vacation, something she could not have done on her own.

Johnson told NBC15 that she did not even realize there were still people in the world that cared that much these days, but chivalry is not all lost and it just meant so much to her.

She was of course talking about the young men who went out of their way to carry her down the boardwalk and bring her to the beach from their Orange Beach condo.

Even short walks are difficult for Vicky nowadays as she suffers from severe COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and has to continuously stay on oxygen for her to breathe. To make matter worse for Johnson, she also has been battling cancer the last four years.

She wanted to put her toes in the sand, though, to enjoy this vacation with her children. Vicky wanted to go to the beach with her four daughters, a wish that the two guys made possible on the last day of her family vacation. The two men carried her at least 100 yards down to the Gulf for her to enjoy the beach.

Vicky's daughter, Candi Burgess, said that they may not be able to give the two men what they gave them because that moment was more precious than gold but to be able to recognize the guys and let everyone know that there are good kind people out there that help people.

Good Samaritans gave their family memories that will last a lifetime

Vicky and her four daughters were so thrilled that she was able to come to the beach that they forgot to ask the two young men their names after providing the help. Candi said they did not even think to be like could they get their information. Vicky said she did thank them, though, with the grateful mom kissing both of the men on the cheek.

Vicky said the two men gave her and her family memories that will last a lifetime. She just wants to be able to give the men the recognition they deserve for the help they gave her. Vicky added that she would like to know their names and send them a little note or something.

The grandparents of the young men who helped Vicky also made sure to give the sick mom a sand dollar to take with her home as a remembrance.
