Honey Boo Boo's Dad Undergoes Dramatic Makeover, and the Results Are Amazing

Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson's dad Mike feels like a new man nowadays after he underwent a complete dental makeover, had some Botox, and even got a hair transplant.

The 50-year-old reality star, known best by his nickname "Sugar Bear," has a whole new smile thanks to the help of Dr. Joseph Goodman. Sugar Bear's representative, Gina Rodriguez, confirmed the good news to TODAY via email.

The Beverly Hills cosmetic dentist had his work cut out for him as he removed all of Sugar Bear's 20 teeth, which appeared to be rotting. He replaced them with a set of pearly snap-in dentures, giving Sugar Bear a winning smile. The whole dental procedure costs $35,000, according to Rodriguez.

Sugar Bear gets Botox and a hair transplant

Besides having his teeth fixed, Sugar Bear also got some Botox from Dr. David Saadat. He got the procedure to remove the wrinkles around his eyes and forehead to give himself a much younger appearance. The Botox procedure did not come cheap, as this cosmetic treatment costs $1,800.

The final touch-up to Sugar Bear was the hair transplant, giving the reality star a fuller head of hair and a brand new look. Sugar Bear went to Jacques Abrahamian for that $30,000 procedure, according to Page Six. Abrahamian gave the TV star over 3,500 FUE grafts to restore the first half of his scalp. He did the procedure at LA FUE Hair Clinic in Pasadena, California.

With the combined dental work, hair transplant, and Botox, the makeover would cost someone $66,800. It is still unclear at this stage if Sugar Bear was the one who paid for these procedures or if they were given to him free of charge in exchange for some publicity.

Will Honey Boo follow suit and undergo a weight-loss procedure?

Regardless of who paid the expensive bill, it all seemed worth it for Sugar Bear as he loves his new look. Given the rotten state of his teeth, he was known for not smiling on camera and in the public eye to keep them out of view. Those days are now over as he was seen in a photo grinning ear to ear with Sugar Bear showing off his remarkable transformation.

He said in the interview that he can't stop looking at himself in the mirror and that he feels like a new man. Sugar Bear is not the only one in the family who wants to change his look. Honey Boo Boo herself revealed in an interview that she plans on undergoing a non-surgical weight-loss procedure this summer.

She told Entertainment Tonight, however, back in July that she is still thinking about whether or not she wants to get the procedure done.
