Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy Reveal Gender of First Baby; "So Excited!"

The co-founder and owner of Dance With Me studios, Val Chmerkovskiy, and American-Latin Ballroom dancer, Jenna Johnson, are on cloud nine as they shared the gender of their first baby.

Jenna Johnson posted on Instagram Sunday the fun sex reveal featuring confetti poppers. In a professional photo shoot, Johnson, 28, and Chmerkovskiy, 36, were captured beaming in anticipation of the news. The first photo the ballroom dancer shared was black-and-white, while the following picture is in color, revealing the blue confetti.

According to People, Johnson captioned the pictures,

"It's a boy! Today we are officially halfway there to meeting our son. Saying those words still makes me emotional!! SO EXCITED to be a boy mom. New YouTube coming tomorrow with all the deets."

The professional ballroom dancer recently posted a video capturing the special moment she told her husband she was pregnant with their first child.

When she found out she was pregnant, she immediately told her sisters about the news and planned to surprise Chmerkovskiy that night. She went to the store, got a little Nike Air Force 1s, and put four pregnancy tests and the shoes in the box. She put it in a Nike box in his size so it would not look suspicious to her husband.

When Chmerkovskiy opened the shoe box, he found a shoe not his size but only baby sneakers and pregnancy tests. He looked at his wife and asked if she was being serious. The clip captured how happy the professional dancer was. The couple then embraced, with Chmerkovskiy telling their dog she would be a sister.

Johnson explained in a YouTube video that she wanted her husband to be totally shocked and to tell him in a way he wasn't expecting. The soon-to-be mom happily said it was one of the best nights of her life, referring to the pregnancy reveal she did with her husband. The thought of being pregnant did not quickly sink in, but when the two realized they would soon be parents, they felt nothing but joyfulness as it was just the best, Good Morning America reported.

She added that they couldn't stop talking and thinking about it as it was just amazing. They still couldn't believe what was happening, but they were beyond happy with the news.

From the dance floor to "I Do!"

The two started as colleagues on "Dancing With The Stars" and now ended up as a happily married couple in real life with a growing family as they will soon welcome their son.

The couple first crossed paths in 2014 when Chmerkovskiy became a Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) troupe member. He had already been competing on the ABC competition series since season 13, which premiered in 2011. The two were just friends at first but took their relationship to the next level and started dating in 2015, US Magazine says.
