Heidi Montag Pratt Celebrates Son's 5th Birthday: "Being Your Mom Has Been the Biggest Blessing"

Heidi Montag Pratt marks the fifth birthday of her firstborn just weeks before becoming a mom of two. "The Hills" alum posted an adorable video compilation on Sunday that included photos and videos of son Gunner Stone over the years. The pregnant mom wrote a heartfelt caption on her Instagram post celebrating the first child's fifth birthday, per People.

"Happy 5th Birthday my angel @gunnerpratt you truly take my breath away, I thank God on my knees for you every day. Being your mom has been the biggest blessing," she wrote.

The soon-to-be mom of two praised Gunner for being adorable, affectionate, humorous, thoughtful, brave, and intelligent. She also thanked him for making her feel like the best mom every day, making it the most memorable experience for her. The 36-year-old mom enjoyed some time with Gunner earlier this summer before he becomes a big brother. She took her son on what she described as a special alone trip to what appeared to be her hometown, Colorado. The American TV personality shared it on Instagram and said she wanted to have a special trip with her son, a bonding.

The "Just Go With It" actress said that the trip with her son was soul-filling, especially since she brought the young kid to a place that will always feel like home to her adding that it was a blessing to have so much family time.

The Pratts expecting a second baby

The "Black Easter" actress and her husband, Spencer Pratt, 39, announced in June that they were expecting a second baby boy. She is due in December but believes it will make an early arrival, just like Gunner did back in October 2017. Adding that her first son was three weeks early, making her anticipate more.

The "Assassin 33 A.D." actress said that she couldn't be more excited but, at the same time, didn't know who was the most excited among the three - herself, Gunner, or Spencer. The "How I Met Your Mother" admitted that trying for baby no. 2 was difficult, revealing that she felt like something was missing when she was still trying to conceive. She felt like someone was missing from the family, so she kept praying but already accepted she wasn't going to have another baby.

The actress admitted that conceiving baby no. 2 was like a roller coaster of emotions. She wanted another baby but wasn't sure if it would happen. The experience was very emotional for the mom.

The "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!" actor told US Magazine that his wife had been crying a lot and didn't know if he had any emotions left.

Heidi and Spencer have been together for 14 years

The two first met at a club called Privilege in Hollywood while the actress was filming "The Hills." On the other hand, the actor had gone there with his friend, Brody Jenner, searching for a way to get a role on the reality show. The actress told the news outlet that when she met him, she knew he was the one and told almost everyone that she would marry him because she loved him. Everyone thought the actress was going crazy.

The couple was married in 2009 and is still going strong. They have also faced struggles over the years, including a brief separation in 2010, per Insider.
