Melissa Suriano recently surprised her son Collin with a dinner that was pretty personal, with the Michigan mom presenting the 17-year-old son with a large meatloaf that resembled his face.

The Mesick native used shredded cheese for the hair, red peppers for the eyebrows, green olives for the eyes, and white onions for the teeth. Melissa said that the personalized dinner was a thank-you gift to her teen son. She said that Collin helped her around the house when she started a new job.

Apart from doing household chores, Collin also helped take care of Boston, his younger brother who has special needs. He also organized the family basement, which his mother described as really messy, according to the New York Post.

Collin stunned with mom's gift

Melissa said she wanted to make him happy. She decided to make him a meatloaf to show her appreciation for what he does. Melissa thought it would be fun to make it look like Collin because they had a special celebration dinner.

Collin apparently was stunned by the presentation his mom made as it bore such a close resemblance to his face. He told the media outlet that once the meatloaf was cooked and served, it then felt weird to see a likeness of himself being eaten.

Even though he found humor in the gesture, the teen also questioned why he could not have a normal mother, according to WBCK. Collin said that at first, he found the whole thing extremely funny. She talked about his mother's efforts, particularly the whole fact that she sculpted his face off a photo into a meatloaf.

He said that he does not think any other mother in the world has done that before, which makes it really weird, but it is a good weird. The 42-year-old, who works as a behavioral technician for kids with special needs, described her son Collin as a good young man. She said that deep down, she knows Collin really loved her meatloaf masterpiece.
