Russell Westbrook is loving life as a dad of three. The 34-year-old Los Angeles Lakers star spoke on a panel at the 5th Annual Black Love Summit on Saturday, November 12, saying that he is most proud of the bond he has with his children.

Westbrook said that he would probably say being a father, adding he is so grateful that he has been blessed with his three children. He noted that the best part of his day is the 6:00 a.m. wake-up with his kids.

Westbrook said that to him is what he is most proud of. He added that what keeps him whole and going is taking them to school and picking them up. Westbrook is dad to five-year-old son Noah and twin daughters Skye and Jordyn, who are now three years old.

Westbrook pays tribute to wife Nina for her sacrifices

He reflected on how things have changed from the beginning of his NBA career back in 2008 to the present day, saying that every day is changing. He celebrated his wife Nina for her constant sacrifice as he continues to ply his trade in the NBA, People Magazine reported.

He shared that her wife's sacrifice should be acknowledged, telling her that she should be proud of that. He said that just to sacrifice through all these years and to go through many different changes, a lot of which honestly have been based around him and his career and what he has been doing.

Westbrook added that his wife's been holding s--t down from start to finish, and now to be able to see her grow into the things that she has been wanting to do while still supporting him and doing stuff with their kids, and doing this and doing that. He said that he is just grateful to have a partner able to do all that sacrifice and now they are here.

Family is the most important thing for Russell Westbrook

Westbrook proclaimed in a YouTube video back in 2018 that being a dad is more important to him than anything else. He said that family is always the most important thing for him, regardless of what he does. The video was made shortly after Westbrook announced his twin daughters were on the way.

Westbrook continued in the video that it is important that his son Noah knows he is his dad first and not a basketball player or anything else that he does. He added that is the most important part to him, to make sure that being a husband, family man, and father is more important than anything else.

Westbrook's Lakers are off to a slow start this season, losing 10 of their first 13 games this campaign. They are currently 14th in the Western Conference with some Lakers fans making Westbrook their target for the team's poor showing.
