A wholesome, kid-focused trend is going viral on social media and it is melting everyone's heart.

A new TikTok trend has been recently making the rounds. In the viral videos, parents ask their children to record a video of them dancing silly to Taylor Swift's Love Story song, hugging their partners, goofing around, and other activities. But here's the catch, the kids holding the camera thought they were taking videos of their parents, not knowing that they are actually the ones being recorded.

Thus, the sweetest and sometimes most hilarious reactions of the children to their parents'dancing, antics and behaviors are going viral on social media, Motherly reported.

Viewers cannot help but grin and laugh at the most innocent reactions of kids, and they indeed melt the hearts. Children are seen wide-eyed and beaming, fascinated by their parents, and then resisting, shy smiles appear until they become wide, and then they laugh, and comment the most sugary messages like "You can do it Mommy!" or "Go Mommy!"

Pure Love

One common thing is seen on this viral trend as viewers observed and commented. The eyes of the kids just reflect the purest of love for their parents.

"When kids are featured on social media, sometimes you just don't know what you're getting. But when it's this pure and sweet, non-exploitative, and all-around feel-good content, it's hard to not love it," Christina Marfice of Motherly wrote about the trend.

Eleanor Katelaris of Kidspot News, on the other hand, warned viewers that the trend may give viewers a "strong urge" to want a baby, describing the viral trend as the most wholesome yet most delightful TikTok trend seen this year.

Parents doing a different spin on the trend

Other parents are putting their own spin on the viral trend by doing something else other than a dance.

In one heartwarming video, a couple asked their son to record them while they show affection towards each other.

Mom Britnee Kent took to Instagram and posted the video with the question, "What did we do to deserve him?" as the caption, stating that she saw pure love in his son's eyes.

Kent and her husband started the video dancing, and eventually hugged and kissed each other. Their toddler's face was a "journey of emotions" as he marveled at his mom and dad's tenderness. Aside from pure love, his little eyes were twinkling and giving off so much joy.

The dad, at one point in the video, said that Kent was his girl, but the toddler reacted and said, "No! It's my girl," referring to his mom.

One viewer commented, stating that the little boy is going to remember that moment, and that kids like him will surely grow up with lesser trust issues. The viewer ended the comment with a congratulations to the parents for the beautiful way they are letting their son grow.
