A mom from Ohio is asking for answers after her daughter tragically died after she was thrown from a car onto the street in a Columbus neighborhood. When talking about her 29-year-old daughter Kiana Edwards, who died on November 13, Kelley Feagen said it is very heartbreaking. Cops discovered Edwards passed out on the ground on South Burnley Square.

Feagen said that her daughter is a sweet person and she did not deserve this. She added that Kiana is nice and kind-hearted who would do anything for anybody. According to family members, they got a call, telling them that Kiana was found lying on the street after witnesses said she was tossed out of a vehicle.

The Columbus Division of Police told WSYX that cops were dispatched to the neighborhood and discovered the victim on the ground. Police said Edwards was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition but unfortunately she died a short time later.

Family members want quick resolution to Edwards' death

Local police are now awaiting the final autopsy report from the Franklin County Coroner's office to decide if they will open a homicide investigation into the death of Edwards. Family members said that it could be months before they learn what really caused the death of Kiana.

Susan Spann, who is Edwards' cousin, said that it should not be that long. She asked why does it take three months for them to find out what caused her cousin's death. WSYX went to the Franklin County Coroner's Office to get some answers to this question.

Who threw Edwards out of the car?

According to interim coroner Dr. Andrea McCollom, preliminary findings showed no trauma to Edwards. That being said, it could be eight to 12 weeks before full toxicology test results are done on Edwards' case.

McCollum added that results could be received earlier if drug screens on Edwards are all negative. The autopsy results are not the only information that family members are waiting for in relation to the mysterious death of Kiana.

They also want to know who was the person who tossed Kiana from the car while she was passed out. Spann said that her cousin did not deserve to be treated like this. George Mason, who is Edwards' estranged husband, said that Kiana did not go anywhere without her phone and her backpack.

He added that when she got into the car, she had those things. When Kiana was dumped, though, she did not have any of it. Kiana's mother said that she won't stop pushing for answers until she knows exactly what caused the death of her daughter. Feagan said that she is going to fight with every breath of her body and she is not going to give up.
