On Sunday, November 27, sources from law enforcement told the New York Post that the mom from the Bronx, accused of killing her two young sons, may have murdered them because she believed they were possessed. It was revealed that the suspect was once on the radar of New York City's child-welfare agency.

Sources said that Dimone Fleming had been obsessed with demonic possession, and police are now investigating whether the 22-year-old mom murdered her boys, ages 3 and 11 months, over this reason.

A police source said that Fleming made unusual statements about the devil. She chillingly wrote on her Facebook page on Saturday before the slayings that there is only one true God, and she repents from all wrongdoings and negative influence.

Fleming previously probed by ACS

Sources said on Sunday that Fleming was probed previously by the Administration for Children's Services (ACS) after her oldest son, DeShawn Fleming, was born. According to sources, the mother was suspected of caring for the child improperly.

It is still unclear what the probe's findings were and whether authorities ever took action. Police have arrested Fleming, but she is under psychiatric evaluation and awaiting charges concerning the gruesome murders of 3-year-old DeShawn and her 11-month-old o allegedly baby, Octavius Canada, at the family's apartment in a homeless shelter in New York City.

The young boys' bodies were found under a pile of wet clothes in the apartment's bathtub, with their torsos and necks brutally slashed. According to a neighbor, he confronted Fleming outside the Echo Place building on Saturday as the crazed-looking mom repeated the statement, "What I did?"

Police were called to the apartment for a domestic disturbance and arrived at 7:20 p.m. Cops found Fleming naked in the apartment's kitchen, with the mom trying to start a fire.

Police officers who responded did not notice that when they took the mother, the two slain children were buried under a pile of clothing in the bathtub. Cops had been told by a neighbor that the children's father had them.

Police were then dispatched back to the shelter at around 8 p.m. after the boys' father, Columbus Canada, made a frantic call to 911. The 31-year-old dad told dispatchers that he found his children dead in the tub, the New York Daily News reported.

Acquaintances and neighbors said the family had been living at the shelter for about a year. They said that Fleming had been spotted behaving bizarrely and mistreating her kids.

Michelle Rivera, a mom and childcare worker who said she knows the father of the murdered siblings, noted that Fleming never had patience. She said Fleming is only 22 years old and can't deal with her children.

Rivera added that everyone offered their help on this block to these kids with her, and Fleming never took it. She said that Fleming always wanted to pick an argument instead.
