The dad of Kaylee Goncalves, one of the four students from the University of Idaho mysteriously stabbed to death in an off-campus house, said he is feeling frustrated and a little defeated by the lack of transparency from cops.

Nevertheless, Steve Goncalves said he still trusts and supports the police officers diligently investigating the case. He told ABC News that he hopes this is all part of the law enforcement officers' plan and they have got this all figured out.

No suspects identified in the Idaho slayings

Kaylee, 21, her lifelong 21-year-old best friend, Madison Mogen, another roommate, 20-year-old Xana Kernodle, and Kernodle's 20-year-old boyfriend, Ethan Chapin, were all murdered in the early morning on November 13. No suspects have been identified thus far in the slayings that happened in the girls' off-campus house, according to the Daily Mail.

Two other roommates were in the house when the brutal attacks happened. Both of them managed to survive, appearing to have slept through the crimes. Cops said that the surviving roommates are not considered suspects at this time.

Goncalves' beloved daughter was planning to move to Texas before she met her untimely death. She mentioned going to Chicago, but her parents said it was unsafe.

Who killed the Idaho students?

Steve said his daughter was going places, and she was highly motivated. He can't accept that she is now gone, noting that all these children were doing everything right and that they would be the type of people you want to be your neighbor.

Compounding the pain of the Goncalveses was that Kaylee's best friend, Mogen, was also killed. They considered her to be their bonus child. Steve said that when you are sick and you are down, and you are out; you want to have that one great friend that is always there for you. He noted that is what they had, saying there was no Kaylee without Maddie.

According to Moscow Mayor Art Bettge, the estimated time of death of the four University of Idaho students was between 3- and 4 a.m., Fox 5 San Diego reported. The two surviving roommates called friends over when they woke up. They were alarmed as one of the victims was not waking up, according to police.

According to the grieving dad, his daughter and the three other students died quickly and did not bleed for hours. He believes an earlier 911 call would not have made a difference in saving their lives.
