Actress Keke Palmer and her partner, Darius Jackson, are now officially parents as they welcome their first child.

The actress has been sharing on social media how she and her partner are so excited to welcome their first child, as are her co-stars and family members.

As it turns out, their first child, baby Leo, was born during Black History Month, and Palmer revealed she matched her son's name to the celebration.

According to Bustle, Keke Palmer, the 29-year-old actor, singer, and television personality, became a mom.

She announced the birth of her first child with boyfriend Darius Jackson in an Instagram post on February 27, which included multiple videos and pictures of the new parents navigating their first few hours as a family of three.

One of the videos the actress uploaded showed their baby in the car's back seat as the couple sings along to "Someone," a hit song from the El DeBarge.

Another short snippet was also included in the IG post. Jackson was seen rocking their baby boy in his arms in the hospital room as the family of three was watching TV, and Jackson immediately smiled as he noticed the camera pointing at him.

Another image showed Palmer holding the baby close to her chest as Jackson held their son in one hand and Palmer in the other. The best pictures were saved for last, including two precious shots of their son dozing off while cuddled up next to his toy.

The infant was dressed in a white beanie and a gray onesie. Palmer finally revealed her son's name, Leodis Andrellton Jackson, at the end of the post.

The actress is not the only one beaming with so much happiness from the birth of their first child, as Jackson, a fitness instructor and former college football player, also shared photos of his son while sleeping.

According to TODAY, the father could not get enough of his son and made a second Instagram post of a short video of the couple inside the car after they left the hospital building with their newborn.

Keke Palmer's pregnancy

Keke Palmer first revealed her pregnancy in December, during her hosting debut on "Saturday Night Live."

The actress announced it during her opening monologue by unbuttoning her long jacket to reveal her baby bump.

Just a month before the baby's arrival, the couple threw an extravagant "Once Upon A Time" themed baby shower attended by many stars.

The couple organized the baby shower with much effort, which was so much fun. The party was star-studded, and Palmer's family and friends were happy to celebrate the upcoming arrival of her first baby.

The baby shower was themed around a fairytale, with many Disney characters appearing, including Simba, Mufasa, Bambi, and characters from Toy Story.

According to People, Palmer had kept details of her relationship with Jackson private, but when she appeared on The Tamron Hall Show last November, she opened up about becoming Instagram official with him.

During the show, the actress expressed her happiness with her partner, saying they spend much time together and that he is her closest friend.

Later on, during an appearance on "The Tonight Show," Keke Palmer revealed that the couple was having a baby boy. Her family and friends were delighted with the news and were eagerly anticipating the baby's arrival.
