From Classrooms to Frontlines: Young Migrant Children Bear the Weight of War

Their descriptions of the arduous journey they had taken, particularly their navigation of the perilous Darién Gap, a treacherous passage that meanders between Colombia and Panama, were delivered with an unsettling maturity.

Mathias, a young boy of just nine years, hauntingly recalled an encounter with a deceased blond woman, her face marred by blood. However, in the face of these adversities, their spirit remained unbroken. As Mathias' mother succinctly put it, their journey was one of unwavering faith and forward momentum.
