Super Bowl Sunday turned into a family affair for billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk as he was spotted enjoying the game alongside one of his sons, X Æ A-Xii, commonly known as "X." The Tesla and SpaceX CEO was seen at the event in Las Vegas alongside his three-year-old son, as well as sports apparel mogul Michael Rubin and New England Patriots CEO Robert Kraft.

Rubin took to Instagram to share a snapshot of Musk with X perched on his shoulders, capturing a moment of father-son bonding amidst the excitement of the Super Bowl LVIII. The photo offered a rare glimpse into Musk's personal life, especially amid the ongoing custody battle with X's mother, Canadian pop star Grimes.

Ongoing Custody Battle

The custody dispute between Musk, 52, and Grimes, 35, has been making headlines, with both parties filing legal motions regarding the parental rights of their three children: X, 2-year-old daughter Exa Dark Sideræl, and 1-year-old son Techno "Tau" Mechanicus.

The Canadian singer-songwriter, whose legal name is Claire Boucher, has taken legal action against billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, sparking renewed attention to their private disputes. The lawsuit, filed in the San Francisco Superior Court in September 2023, aims to establish parental rights between the former couple, who share three children.

Grimes filed a petition seeking to establish parental relationship, prompting Musk to counter-file in Texas just three days prior. Musk asserted his claim to legal parenthood, citing his active involvement in raising the children and their residence in Texas.

Last year, Grimes posted a now-deleted message on social media, directed at Musk, in which she pleaded for access to their son, X. In her message, she expressed frustration at being excluded from their children's lives and criticized the situation for causing significant familial strife.

The relationship between Musk and Grimes has been tumultuous, marked by breakups and reconciliations. While the couple split in 2021, Grimes revealed in 2022 that they had secretly welcomed their second child, referred to as "Y," via surrogate. According to Walter Isaacson's biography, they then welcomed a third child quietly.

The legal action marks a new chapter in the ongoing saga between Grimes and Musk, whose relationship has been subject to public scrutiny since their split. With the details of the lawsuit remaining undisclosed, the public is left to speculate on the implications and potential outcomes of the legal battle between the high-profile former couple.

Complex Family Dynamics

Musk's expansive family also includes eight other children from previous relationships. With his ex-wife Justine Wilson, Musk shares twins Griffin and Vivian, who recently made headlines when Vivian came out as transgender and sought to change her name and disassociate from her biological father. Musk and Wilson also have triplet sons Kai, Saxon, and Damian.

In addition, Musk welcomed twins with Neuralink director of operations Shivon Zilis in November 2021, further expanding his family dynamic.
