'Bones' & 'Sleepy Hallow' Crossover Plot Details: First Look Here! Ichabod, Brennan Don't Get Along? -- Get The Details

Sleepyheads, here's good news for you. The upcoming Bones/Sleepy Hollow crossover is happening real soon, and it's going to be real good.

"Sleepy Hollow" writer Raven Metzner, before sitting down in a panel at the recent New York Comic Con, pointed out in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that Ichabod and Brennan both have similarities that created a strong basis for a crossover, but they still have some difficulties.

“While [Ichabod and Brennan] both are sort of detectives, their worlds are so different,” said Metzner. “We had to create a case that could stretch across the actual real world and also one that happens in the supernatural world.”

While at the Television Critic Association press tour earlier this August, Fox released the plot for the crossover happening on Oct. 29:

“On 'Bones,' the grisly discovery of human remains lead Brennan and Booth on a hunt for clues, during which they encounter Ichabod Crane and Abbie Mills, searching for answers of their own. Realizing that they are after the same evidence, they team up to solve the mystery.

“Then, immediately following on Sleepy Hollow, the intrigue continues as Ichabod’s old nemesis is back from the dead. Ichabod and Abbie need advanced forensic help and expertise to stop him and turn to Brennan and Booth to unlock 18th century secrets using 21st century science.”

According to TVLine, the two-hour crossover event will display a mix of two worlds, showing a collaboration that is exciting.

As excitement grows over the crossover that is happening, is it true that, as the two shows are different along with their characters, Ichabod and Brennan aren't doing well together?

TVLine reports that in a recent visit to the set, Tom Mison said that he and Emily Deschanel had “just shot this morning a rather nice scene where Ichabod questions Brennan on faith and art and love, and can they be reduced to numbers?

“It actually worked really rather nicely, ’cause they’re quite similar, actually. I hadn’t really realized it until I started working with Emily, that Brennan and Ichabod are very similar,” Mison said.

“Which is probably why they’re destined not to get along,” he explained.

Fans will just have to wait until the Bones/Sleepy Hollow crossover happens.

Blastr reports that Metzner is excited for upcoming events in the show.

“I think it's going to be a lot of fun," said Metzner.
