Only three months after giving birth, Zooey Deschanel shows off her slim post-baby body during the "Rock the Kasbah" premiere in New York City, Hollywood Life reports. Together with her hunk husband Jacob Pechenik, the "New Girl" star exuded the new mommy glow while donning a black, off-shoulder sparkling dress paired with matching black heels and dangling earrings.

Even though it has been a trend for new celebrity moms to pose for a post-baby sexy shoot with a magazine, Zooey told Cosmopolitan that she will not pose for a "body after baby" cover.

"Haven't we all seen those pictures of a sexy new mom in a bikini after one month? I will not be that person. I've always gone my own course and never been someone who had the need to be super skinny. I like a healthy look. I don't buy into that skinny-is-better mentality. I just eat healthy and work out and don't worry about my weight too much. Actresses aren't models, and most of them never wanted to be," said the 35-year-old mom to the magazine.

During the interview, Zooey was also shared her thoughts on different topics. Regarding achieving success, the "Rock the Kasbah" actress shared, "I'm very focused. I work all the time, but I do what I love and I don't care what people think of it. You don't become successful by trying to be 'a success.' You become successful by doing things that give you pleasure. That's a hallmark of mine."

She also gave her thoughts on women in television, saying, "It's a good time for women on TV. We can be funny in our own way … and funny doesn't mean just one thing. Funny isn't just one-liners. It's big personalities and individualism."

Meanwhile, even months after Zooey gave birth to their new bundle of joy, she and husband Pechenik just recently revealed their baby girl's name. During the "Rock the Kasbah" premiere, the young parents revealed to People that they chose the name Elsie Otter for their three-month-old daughter.

Zooey said, “It’s Elsie…” while Pechenik followed, " “Otter.” The "500 Days of Summer actress explains to People “Like the animal,” while her husband adds, “Sea otter!”

In an interview with "Today" on Tuesday, Zooey further explains the reason behind their daughter's animal-inspired name. “We just really liked the name Elsie and then we both love otters — they’re very sweet and they’re also smart. They use tools … they hold hands while they sleep, there’s so many amazing things about otters. They’re wonderful animals.”

Elsie Otter is Zooey and Pechenik's first child. She was born in Austin, Texas in late July, but the couple only announced her birth to the public in August.
