According to Ecumenical News, the romance between Corrections Officer John Bennett (Matt McGorry) and Dayanara Diaz (Dascha Polanco) is among the things fans are looking forward to see in "Orange is the New Black" Season 4. With the last season featuring John running off, leaving Daya and their baby behind, many are disappointed and it has become a source of discussion among fans.

Fans are wondering if there's a chance for the lovebirds to reconcile. Will there be?

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 32-year-old actress shared her disposition about seeing Benett and Diaz together in "Orange is the New Black" Season 4. "I would love to see that, but you have to be realistic," Polanco said. "He walked out of her life and her main priority right now is figuring out how she can take care of her child."

Well, Polanco's response is what most women will probably do. Of course, there will be pain and bitterness for being abandoned, but as a momshe has to move on and keep things as a whole no matter what she lose for her child.

When asked what she feels after finding out that Daya's romance with Bennett will be bitter-sweet, Polanco said that she learned about it when she got the script for the said episode. The actress revealed that although they are part of the show, they are like audiences too, since they only learn what happens from episode to episode and they are also excited to know what will happen next.

"When I found out about the breakup, I was sad but proud. He had to do what he had to do, and I think Dayanara tried to live a fairy tale. But she's in jail, and there's a disconnect there. "

Despite Polanco's honesty to admit about the disconnection, she also stressed that she was hoping Bennett and Diaz's relationship will work. "I actually thought they would. My inner princess was always like, "That's my prince." Like, "We'll live our life in here until it's time for me to get out," she said.

As for her character Daya, Polanco said that she wants Daya to break out of her shell. She stressed that if she's in Daya's shoes she will be upset so she wanted Daya to "take the bull by the horns, grow up and stop worrying about her mother so much."

"Orange is the New Black" Season 4 is scheduled to premiere in June 2016.
