'Apple Watch 2' Rumors, Release Date & Price: Sleek Concept Out, See It Here! [Features & Rumor Round Up]

A mock-up of the Apple Watch 2 has been released by designer Eric Huismann that presented some interesting and promising features. While there's no guarantee Apple will actually adapt the concept, it's giving techies a lot of ideas on what future Apple wearable watches may potentially become.

According to Cult of Mac, the mock-up by Huismann has one very noticeable and functional feature in that the concept watch's edges are rounded this time around, so that it rests on the wrist lower. This design makes the first Apple Watch look quite boxy, but hopefully the tech company would listen and consider making this particular change.

Huismann also fitted the Apple Watch 2 concept with a 1.2-megapixel camera that could be very handy when taking selfies or going on Facetime, which Cult of Mac said Apple might actually embrace. The designer also presented colored bands in his Apple Watch 2 concept with a body that is made of stainless steel alloys and a possible upgrade to platinum or diamond, according to Handy Abovergleich.

Huismann's concept comes with three different sizes for Apple Watch 2, in 38mm, 42mm and 45mm, thus giving more options for people's varied preferences. Among other suggestions, the designer hopes that Apple will eventually add sensors for taking blood pressure and body temperature, as well as WiFi capability and GPS module to the Apple Watch 2's system.

According to Tech Radar, it's likely that the second Apple Watch will be unveiled in the market by September 2016. But Alphr predicts, it may arrive as early as May 2016 to coincide with the company's retail cycle.

Fans of the brand should expect improvements on its clock faces and Time Travel function, as this was clued in with the release of WatchOS 2, the device's operating system, according to Alphr. Its battery life may also remain the same, as users have very favorable feedback about battery usage for the current Apple Watch. As it is, battery life must last up to 18 hours following one full charge, with a 3-hour talk time capacity and 6.5 hours for workout or audio use, according to Apple.

Price points for Apple Watch 2 are predicted to be cheaper than the first release, according to The News Tribe as it tries to compete with other smartwatches that will be coming out. The news outlet also reported that there may be two new models this time around to fulfill both low-end and high-end demands.
