'X-Men: Apocalypse' Trailer & Spoilers: Film Will Feature Unkown Story of Storm, Jean Grey & Cyclops [Rumors]

Fans of the "X-Men" franchise will soon witness another action packed film when "X-Men Apocalypse" hits the big screens. Earlier reports claim that the upcoming flick will be the conclusion of the six "X-Men" films, but it will also bring about the rebirth of younger and newer set of characters.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" will introduce Alexandra Shipp, Tye Sheridan, and Sophie Turner as the younger Storm, Cyclops and Jean Grey respectively, according to Collider. Kodi Smit-McPhee will also be joining them in the role of the Nightcrawler.

According to Cinema Blend, the events in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" had changed the flow of the series permanently. All the movies in the past featured events that do not take place in the current timeline, except for "X-Men: First Class," which open doors for massive changes.

However, the team behind "X-Men: Apocalypse" is not really thinking of doing huge changes in the upcoming flick. Writer/Director Michael Dougherty explained that the sequel will be giving the audience a glimpse of the untold stories of Jean Grey, Cyclops and Storm.

"I think they aren't changing as much as you're getting a peek into a portion of their lives you've simply never seen on the big screen. By the time you meet that trio at the beginning of X1 through X3, they are exactly who you think they should be."

The writer stressed that Cyclops is the leader, Jean Grey is a confident woman who struggles in controlling her powers and Storm is the mystifying weather goddess which as her name suggest could bring storm at any time of the day, should she wishes to do so, but there is still more into these characters that remain unknown to fans.

"We've never seen the characters at the earlier stages in their lives, at this very sort of raw and not yet formed period," Dougherty added. When prompted for further explanation, the writer just said, "We all know where it is that they need to head, and we all know the characters they become, so this is really sort of showing us how they got there."

The report suggests that Jean will have a premonition of the horror the titular villain bring, Storm will end up as one of Apocalypse's Four Horsemen with Psylocke, Angel, and Magneto. However, Cyclops' role remains a mystery at the time. Fans hope to see more of his character in "X-Men: Apocalypse."

Meanwhile, in an earlier report from Parent Herald, it was learned that Magneto joined Apocalypse's Four Horsemen after being broken hearted. Director Bryan Singer teases an emotional scene with Michael Fassbender in "X-Men: Apocalypse," which he hopes will make a cut. This will be something fans will be looking forward to for sure.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" premieres on May 27, 2016.
