Eva Mendes Post-Baby Weight Loss: Actress Hasn't Visited The Gym Since Delivery; How Does She Do it? -- Find Out!

After giving birth to daughter Esmeralda 14 months ago, Eva Mendes said that her exercise routine has greatly suffered. But the actress is back in her best form after the pregnancy. How did she do it?

In a piece written on Telegraph, Eva confessed that a lot of her beauty routines have changed since becoming a mother. "Sometimes, it's at four in the morning, sometimes it's at two in the afternoon. I'm no longer on my own time. The minute my daughter falls asleep for a nap or for the night, I'm just doing all my stuff," she told the news outlet. "Since I've become a mum, the first thing to go out the window is exercise," the actress added.

Instead of going to the gym which the actress no longer has time for, Yahoo! revealed that Eva does sprinting and running. She claimed that the activities are "very challenging," but these work best for her.

Eva suggested for mums to "find what works for your body." She also emphasized on the importance of weight training to keep her muscles toned.

Despite cutting down on her exercise routines, Eva is still able to manage keeping the weight off by eating a healthy and balanced diet. The actress is not a meat-eater even before getting pregnant, according to a previous interview with Women's Health.

"I haven't eaten meat in about six years, because I don't agree with factory farming here," the 41-year-old new mom told the magazine. "This is just what worked for me, it's important to say, but when I cut that out I immediately felt better. And also, after a year of eliminating it, my skin looked brighter and healthier overall."

In the same interview, she confessed to having sleepless nights because of the baby. However, Eva took those moments as bonding time with her child instead of feeling grumpy about it.

Eva's not one to feel pressured over post-pregnancy weight loss. "I feel like we can be really hard on each other. That whole term 'bounce back' after pregnancy. I don't know. I don't like that terminology," she told Today back in September.

She also shared that she gets a lot of help to look good in front of the cameras and fans as an actress, so other women shouldn't be easily fooled by her post-pregnancy look. "You're lit, you're angled. So yes, it was a few months after the baby [was born], but with a lot of help," she told People.
