Fans of the popular fighting game "Tekken" is very eager for the upcoming title "Tekken 7." It seems that Bandai Namco is as eager as the gamers are with their bold move of expanding their audience.

Parent Herald previously reported that "Tekken 7" will also be released in PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR. BBC revealed that PlayStation VR is Sony's first virtual reality headset, which is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2016.

Although "Tekken 7's" arrival stirs excitement among fans, the upcoming title will also mark the culmination of the "Tekken" series, which have been running for 20 years. It is also set to feature the conclusion of the Mishima clan saga, PC Advisor has learned.

The Bandai Namco Community manager Gaetan Gireme teases that "Tekken 7" will be "dark." So what does the upcoming title in store for its fans?

"Tekken 7" is designed using Unreal Engine 4. This technology helps the developers produce high detailed characters and a dynamic and reactive environment for the gameplay. "Unreal Engine 4 is a complete suite of game development tools made by game developers, for game developers," as written in its website. "From 2D mobile games to console blockbusters and VR, Unreal Engine 4 gives you everything you need to start, ship, grow and stand out from the crowd."

Aside from a more advanced technology used in designing the game, Gireme disclosed that more characters will be joining the game. Among the new additions is Kazumi Mishima. In a separate report from Parent Herald, there are speculations that "Tekken 7" will bring Kuma, Nina and Anna back.

Yibada informed that  the current roster of "Tekken 7" includes Jin, Kazuya, Hehaichi, Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, Asuka, Lili, Hwoarang, Steve Fox, Alisa, Lars Alexandersson, Dragunov, Bryan Fury, Yoshimitsu, Feng Wei, Devil Jin, Jack-7, Gigas, Josie Rizal, Claudio Serafino, Katarina Alves, Lucky Chloe, Shaheen and Kazumi Mishima.

Moreover, "Tekken 7" for console versions will come with new game modes and enhancements, separating it from the arcade versions. It will also feature a more in-depth story for its gameplay, Gematsu reported.

On a separate note, according to Venture Capital Post, "Tekken X Street Fighter" may arrive for PC and next generation consoles in 2016. Katsuhiro Harada and his team are hitting for a 2016 release, but at the moment they have not announced an official release date yet.

"It's very difficult to talk about. Obviously, I had originally planned to release it much earlier than we're currently looking at," Harada said. According to Famitsu, Harada explained why they need to push back the title's release date at a later time.

Unfortunately, some fans are not happy with the updates about "Tekken X Street Fighter" arriving for PC and next generation consoles because, initially, the title is expected to arrive on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Well, let's wait for further announcement from Bandai Namco.
