Anna Faris Talks about 8-Month-Old Son

Anna Faris is enjoying her motherhood in its actual spirit. The 36-year-old actress, who is getting ready to hit screens once more through her new venture on CBS' "Mom", opened up with E! News about her infant son Jack.

"He's great, thanks. He's eight months old and he's getting to that adorable stage where he makes funny noises and lights up when you walk in the room," Faris told Kristin Dos Santos, later adding, "He has a weirdly huge head."

Jack is the first child of Faris with husband Chris Pratt. Faris met "Parks and Recreation" star Pratt during the shooting of "Take Me Home Tonight" in 2007. The couple tied the knot in 2009. Faris gave birth to Jack in August 2011. The baby, who was originally due in fall, arrived two months early and was kept at the NICU for one month.

This is not the first time the new mom is coming forward to share the important milestones in her son's development.

"Everything is a brand-new experience," Daily Mail quoted Faris as saying about her then 6-month-old son on Ellen. "The first time they realize that the sound they're hearing is the thing that they're seeing is an experience for them, and I'm reliving all the firsts all over again: the first time he recognizes the first laugh or me, or the first taste of something sweet."

Apart from drawing his mother's full attention, the little boy has also been successful in remaining his father's favorite since birth.

Oh, God, he is just . . . he's amazing. I love him so much," Us Weekly quoted the "Everwood" actor saying on the "Late Show With David Letterman" in January. "He's just a ball of joy. He's terrific."

Anna started acting in films shortly after finishing her college studies. "Lovers Lane", released in 1999, is her first film. The 'Dictator' actress first met her husband Ben Indra during the filming of the movie "Lovers Lane" in 1999. After dating for five years, the couple tied the knot in 2005. However, they legally split in 2008.
