Adele Tour 2016: Singer Talks Tour Plans, Fears On Fame & How Son Helped Her Comeback

It's no secret Adele has a huge impact in the music industry. Her latest single "Hello" has already broken records two weeks after it was released. But the singer claims that despite her success, she's still terrified of fame.

In an exclusive interview with Rolling Stones, the singer admitted that she worried about becoming famous. "I think it's really toxic, and I think it's really easy to be dragged into it."

Adele compared her experience to Amy Winehouse, a contemporary in the industry who died in the midst of her success. "We were all very entertained by her being a mess. I was f*cking sad about it, but if someone showed me a picture of her looking bad, I'd look at it. If we hadn't looked, then they'd have stopped taking her picture," Adele went on in the interview. "That level of attention is really frightening, especially if you don't live around all that showbiz stuff."

The "Rolling in the Deep" singer was also at the height of her fame when she decided to take a break from her work. Then she surprised everyone when she revealed she was having a baby. On hindsight, Adele said it was a good thing her pregnancy got in the way of her career. "It might've seemed like the most ridiculous time to have a baby, but I was starting to get a bit afraid of everything," Adele said of her 3-year-old boy, Angelo. "I don't know if I would've come back had I not had my kid."

There's a downside to being away from the limelight these last years, though. Jezebel reported that the singer drifted away and didn't think making a comeback would be possible. Adele also said that she wasn't up to date with what's popular in the charts during her hiatus, according to Mashable.

Meanwhile, on the subject of her tour for "25," the singer is still not clear if this is going to push through. Yahoo! reported that back when Adele was in the middle of her tour for "21," she had throat surgery and some of her appearances were cancelled.

Adele fears that this could happen again if she has a tour. While she's not completely closing her doors, the singer mused, "I'll be able to get my throat fixed again and do studio work, but do I want to do something and then fail at it and be too scared to ever try it again?"
