'Red Dead Redemption 2' Release Date & Trailer: Take-Two Developing 2 Titles Including RDR 2? Sequel Coming With Bigger Map, Multiplayer Mode [Rumors]

Rumors and news regarding the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2010-released hit game “Red Dead Redemption” are still circulating. New reports gave even more exciting detail.

The Independent reported that developer Take-Two has confirmed that it is currently working on a number of unannounced projects. These unannounced projects include “new intellectual properties, and offerings from our established franchises.”

Some of the "established franchises" which are included in the group's portfolio are the likes of “Red Dead Redemption,” “Grand Theft Auto,” “BioShock,” “Borderlands,” Midnight Club” and “Max Payne,” among others. This might mean that they are currently working on “Red Dead Redemption 2,” to the happiness of many excited gamers.

Crossmap reported that there are theories and ideas about the game that are moving about. One possible setting for the upcoming sequel will be in Japan, far from the original feel of the first game, which is set in the Wild West.

The news outlet explains that since RDR was originally set in the Western part of the U.S., it would be likely that the sequel would be moving to the east as well, although only the eastern parts of the country, and not in eastern countries. Rockstar hasn't given any names of the States that could be found in the game, but so far what is known is Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Rocky Mountains, Dakota and of course Mexico.

This simply means that RDR2 just might take on the whole United States – a very huge map. And with reports that RDR2 having Multiplayer support, the game will be even more exciting.

Master Herald reported that although rumors about RDR2's “in the making” are circulating, game developer Rockstar Games hasn't released any official statement regarding the sequel just yet, so it would be best to take it all in with a grain of salt.

Various speculations that were leaked in the internet said that the game will come out early next year for different platforms: the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC. Again, however, Rockstar hasn't confirmed anything.

Herald added that Rockstar CEO Strauss Zelnick said that he is proud and happy about the response that people had for RDR, and the level of excitement and enthusiasm that people have in waiting for RDR2.

Supposing that all speculations and rumors prove true about its development, “Red Dead Redemption 2” could be released next year.
