'X-Men: Apocalypse' Trailer: Teaser Arriving With 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'; Footage To Have 'Cool Stuff In It', Lasts Over 1 Minute [Report]

Many fans are looking forward to the trailer of the anticipated blockbuster film "X-Men: Apocalypse." New reports claim that the footage will be attached to the upcoming movie "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

Collider reported that the opening weekend of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will be massive because it will have the widest release of all time. It is expected to break records throughout the Christmas break until New Year. For this reason, many are eyeing to tie their big trailer to the movie. Among the anticipated films for 2016 are "Captain America: Civil War" and "X-Men: Apocalypse," both will arrive on the same month.

The report suggested that it's not surprising to tie the long-awaited "Captain America: Civil War" trailer to "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" because both films are distributed by the same studio. But, this will surprise you, the first trailer of Fox's "X-Men: Apocalypse" will also be attached into the same film.

"I can in fact confirm that information," "X-Men: Apocalypse" co-writer/producer Simon Kinberg said. "Our first trailer will be on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It's our first thing out there so it is somewhat of a teaser, but it's certainly longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it."

Parent Herald previously reported that the "X-Men: Apocalypse" trailer will be available soon. The report springs from director Brian Singer's Instagram Post where he took a selfie with John Ottman, who edited "X2: X-Men United" and "X-Men: Days of Future Past" in the studio. The photo was captioned with "Back in the cutting room w #johnottman teaser coming soon."

Slash Film reported that "X-Men: Apocalypse" made some recent reshoots involving Wolverine, the character played by Hugh Jackman. The report suggested that there will be a little more of a cameo for the clawed mutant in the upcoming sequel. This will be Singer's last take for "X-Men" so it's difficult to tell how the franchise will continue after this.

In a separate report from Parent Herald, Singer hinted that the upcoming trailer will be a spoiler. "It's gonna get spoiled because they decided to use it in the trailer which comes out in, like, six months, but it's a really cool trailer," the filmmaker added. "But it's kind of a wrap up of six movies. So, it might run a little bit long, but it's not boring."

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" premieres on Dec.18, 2015. Meanwhile, "Captain America: Civil War" will be released on May 6, 2016. "X-Men: Apocalypse" will follow shortly, it will hit the big screens on May 27, 2016.
