'League of Legends' Patch Notes 5.22 & News: Illaoi The Kraken Priestess a New Champion, 'Slow But Impactful Solo Laner' [Report]

Fans of the popular game "League of Legends" will be delighted with this report. A new character is joining the roster of champions and she is different from the others.

In "League of Legends'" official website, they introduced Illao, the Krakken Priestess. She's different because while most champions use guns, swords, magic or other weaponry to arm themselves, the newest champion doesn't own any of it.

However, she has something that the other champions don't have. "Illaoi's bringing a freakin' god to the Rift. One of the new breed of juggernauts, she's a slow but impactful solo laner in any game, with tentacles that offer huge zone control once they worm their way into a game," the developers wrote on their site. "And while she lacks traditional gap closers to start fights, she can pull the spirits from distant squishies and destroy them, rendering yet another vessel for Illaoi's god, Nagakabouros." The newest champion for "League of Legends" will surely earn her own followers.

Meanwhile, according to PCGames N, although the "League of Legends World Championships" just ended two weeks ago, Riot Games have moved on already. In fact, the team is set to overhaul the game with an extensive patch. So aside from the new champion, the game will also come with several improvements.

On their website, the team explained why they want to improve the game. "Well, to be frank, a little bit of everything. We're looking to make every game of League feels unique, and that means going the distance to make sure your decisions matter," they wrote. "From the champions you pick, the masteries you choose, and the way you express yourself with Items, 2016's all about meaningful choices."

PCGame N reported that six champions were amended including Corki, Caitlyn, Graves, Kog'Maw, Quinn and Miss Fortune. Graves is now lethal in close quarter, Corki possesses greater magic damage potential and Miss Fortune's combo abilities are more powerful than ever.

In "League of Legend's" official website they also hinted that aside from the marksmen other characters will also come with new toys, a new intricate mastery system will affect just everyone that loads onto the Rift, no more Stealth Wards on the shop, Sightstone will come with new build paths and the Jungle will be less difficult.

The team is encouraging the gamers of "League of Legend" to learn and experiment. It's time to reassess what players' know, to learn how to express themselves and to discover what they want.

"League of Legend's"patch 5.22 will come with several big changes for the pre-season and before Season 6 arrives the development team is expected to add new features like Ranked Team Builder and a crafting system, CinemaBlend reported.
