'Clash of Clans' Town Hall 11 News Update: Huge Changes Coming To Shield System -- 3 Things You Should Know!

Many are looking forward to the anticipated "Clash of Clans" update. However, aside from the new features that Town Hall 11 will bring, new reports claim that the shield system is also in for huge changes.

Here are the top three things we know about the upcoming shield system update for "Clash of Clans."

1. Village Guard

According to Touch Arcade, this new addition is a short-term defense while the player's shield is down. How does this work?

a. When your Village Guard is active, your village acts as if you are online even if you are not. Your account will stay online even if you close the game or get disconnected.

b. Players can use their Village Guard to attack without penalty.

c. Free Village Guard automatically activates when shields expire, the duration depends on the League it could last for 15 minutes to 3 hours.

d. Players can buy 2 hours of extra Village Guard for 10 gems every day in the shop when their shield is down (23 hours cool down).

e. Active Village Guard can be dismissed at any time.

f. Active Village Guard will be dismissed when a player buys a shield from the shop.

2. Personal Break System will also undergo changes.

In their official forum site, Supercell announced that this feature would also be changed in line with their updates for the shield system. They do this to ensure that all clashers will participate in defending and attacking regularly in a more flexible way. Here're the changes to expect:

a. A player will be forced offline for six minutes after three hours of cumulative online time without a shield.

b. This Personal Break 3-hour limit is only reset after getting a shield.

c. Buying the 2-hour Village Guard will extend a player's current Personal Break 3-hour limit by 2 hours.

d. During server maintenance, the Personal Break 3-hour limit will be paused but not reset.

3. Free Village Guard.

Players are entitled to get a free Village Guard in two cases:

a. When a shield expires - players often get frustrated when they forget their shield expiry and left the game idle for too long and getting attacked under their noses. To help prevent this case, a Village Guard will be activated every time a shield expires

b. Defending a weak attack - For poor attacks with less than 30 percent destruction, there will be a 15-minute Village Guard period to activate shieldless defenders a chance to rearm their traps, reload defenses and request defending troops.

Meanwhile, Parent Herald previously reported Supercell's announcement about their new digital home for "Clash of Clans", which is designed to inspire players to be the clashers they want to be.

As for the anticipated update for "Clash of Clans," there are speculations that it will be out on Dec. 7. Do you believe that the biggest update will arrive on the said date?
