Adele '25' Album: Track 'Million Years Ago' Debuted; Talks Motherhood & Shares Parenting Philosophy -- Listen Here!

Days after the release of her latest album "25"," Adele continues to top the charts and rock the music industry. In her appearance on the "Today" show on NBC Wednesday, the singer performed a new track, "Million Years Ago" and spoke with the show's host Matt Lauer.

Adele admitted to Lauer that the whole experience of returning to launch an album has been overwhelming. Despite the craziness over "25," which has broken so many records and rankings already, Adele is trying to keep it all together for one reason: her son 3-year-old Angelo.

"My kid is more important. My kid comes first; my music comes second," the "Hello" hitmaker told Lauer. Having a son changed "everything" for the Grammy-winner and many of her choices have to be decided with Angelo in mind.

"When I was, like, gearing up to start doing interviews again, I was like, 'OK, I'm not going to talk about my kid' -- because obviously we live such a private life," Adele shared, per Entertainment Tonight. "But it's the biggest part of my life, so it's impossible for me to talk about my life without talking about him."

The first-time mom considers herself as hands-on and she believes she's lucky to have boyfriend Simon Konecki raising Angelo with her. Aside from sharing the same values and morals, Adele shares that she and her partner have the same parenting philosophy. "We believe that our children should have opinions, and that they should have a choice, so we're kind of instilling that now," she said in the ET report.

Meanwhile, Adele dedicates "Million Years Ago" to her childhood. She wrote the song with this South London Park in mind. She and her friend used to frequent the place. "We'd just hang out and talk about everything. I'd go past it, months ago now and I just burst into tears because none of us were there...none of us could be because we all have lives," she said.

She also has a track dedicated to her baby called "Sweetest Devotion." The song features Angelo's voice, which his mother recorded.

"25" has already sold 2.8 million copies in the United States within three days of its release, per Billboard. The album is projected to cross the three million mark over the weekend to earn the highest single-week album sales record previously held by NSYNC in 2000.
