Nicole Kidman Doesn't Regret Marrying Tom Cruise: 'I Was a Baby When I Married Tom'

Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise were dubbed as the perfect couple when the two were still together. They looked happy together when seen together during premiere nights and various celebrity events. People looked up to them because of how they managed their married life well amidst the Hollywood publicity that has ended so many celebrity marriages before them.

Despite all the drama and heartaches that involve her first marriage with Cruise, the 48-year-old actress admitted in the latest interview with the Evening Standard that she never regretted her relationship with her ex-husband.

The Australian actress added that she considered herself as a baby when she married Cruise. However, Kidman explained that she would never change anything in the years she spent with him.

The two quickly fell for each other when they met at the set of the movie "Days of Thunder," where they both starred in. They were an instant Hollywood darling and the relationship rapidly gained media attention. The ex-couple decided to get married in 1990, when Kidman was 23 years old, and decided to adopt two kids, Isabella and Connor. In 2011, after 11 years of being married to each other, Kidman and Cruise filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences."

The star of the movie "The Grace Monaco" revealed that she was at her loneliest she had ever felt following her break-up with Cruise. Kidman said that she took a step back as far as her career is concern and retreated from the limelight.

Fortunately for Kidman, she moved on and found love again with Keith Urban. The singer-actress married the Australian country singer in 2006 in their home country, Australia, after meeting each other a year before.

As reported by US Weekly, Kidman mentioned that each of her marriages is different from the other. "Any time you have a chance at something again is good, but each combination of people is different," she said in a statement.

The couple has been happily married for 10 years now, per Women's Weekly. As a matter of fact, Kidman stated that both of them are committed to each other and to their relationship.

"Our priority is to be together. I don't ever take it for granted. What I have now - the life I have with Keith and with my whole family - it doesn't just tumble into your lap; it's from setting my sights on it and saying ' I so don't want to be alone, I don't want to walk this alone' and I found that," Kidman said.
