Coco Austin Slams Critics, '100% Hands On' With Daughter Chanel

Proud mom Coco Austin is obviously very proud of her baby and wants everyone -- including fans and critics -- to know that.

Entertainment Tonight reported that the 36-year-old new mom slammed critics that “really frustrate” her at times. The mom to baby Chanel – and wife to 57-year-old actor-rapper Ice-T – took to Twitter and defended the way she cares for her child.

"Some assume since u have money and live in a 'celebrity world' that you don't do [expletive]!" she wrote in her Twitter post.

She posted a series of tweets that just show how serious she is with being a hands-on mom to little baby Chanel.

"Let me add, I don't have nannies or babysitters. I've been 100% hands on w/ Chanel,” she also wrote. “I also clean my own house and do my own laundry #100%wife."

Austin was reportedly criticized earlier this month after posting some photos featuring her newborn daughter in a festive, holiday theme.

One of her followers commented at the time: "Coco darling, don't exploit your newborn beautiful lil angel. I say with respect honey."

To this, US Weekly reported that she shot back. “How is this exploiting her?” she said. “I’m proud that I’m finally a mama … does she not look happy?”

Others criticized her and Ice-T for opening a Twitter account for baby Chanel, just a few days after she was born November 28. To date, @BabyChanelworld has more than 29,200 followers.

A certain fan even defended Austin and, also, Chanel's social media account.

“She has fought hard to be a mommy with taking care of her high blood pressure and all to be able to have a healthy baby,” a certain Elizabeth Walters wrote in the ET Online comments section. “and BTW my friend had a facebook account for her son two days after he was born.. Not just Coco and Ice..”

Apparently, fans love Chanel and her mom. This, proud daddy Ice-T really appreciates.

“We’re just proud parents and [nowadays] you can put it all on the net for everybody to see,” he said. “We’ve had all this response – as much as there’s haters out there, 99.99 percent are nothing but love.”

The “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” star said that he is “so happy and so pleased” with all the love that the people express to them, especially now that Chanel is born. He also expressed that more than making hits, his baby really makes him go “wow.”
