Dierks Bentley Announces Gender of Third Child: It's a Boy (VIDEO)

The suspense is over: Dierks Bentley is expecting a baby boy.

The 37-year-old country music singer broke the news during a fan club event at the CMA Music Festival last week, Taste of Country reported.

"You guys mean everything to us and that's why we're always trying to give you guys the fan club exclusive," Bentley said in a video clip played during the party. "And for today for the Last Call Ball 9 we thought it would be kind of funny to give you the scoop on whether or not I'm having a boy or girl."

After revealing some of the names suggested by his fans - Dierks-Anne, Deacon Cash - the proud father-to-be finally ended the suspense and said: "We're having a boy! Just don't tell anybody, alright?"

Fans and well-wishers welcomed the news and congratulated the singer: "I think its awesome hes finally getting a son. His daughters are going to have a ton of fun dressing him up and making him their own personal Barbie! Congrats to the Bentley family, I knew it was a boy all along!" one of the comments appearing on People magazine read.

Bentley, who has been married to Cassidy Black since December 2005, has two children with her: daughters Evelyn Day Bentley (4) and Jordan Catherine Bentley (2). The couple announced the third pregnancy in April on Twitter: "so my wife and i will be changing our family defensive strategy come the fall. switching from MAN-to-MAN to ZONE. #3! advice @thetimmcgraw?!" he wrote, April 24.

Bentley, who had earlier revealed his love for home and family, is definitely going to find more fun at home with his son's arrival in the fall. "I love being at home," Dierks told The Boot in January 2012. "I love getting on the couch, getting a beer, playing with the girls, rough-housing. That being said, I often do go out because there's so much great music and people playing around town. Once I motivate to get out, I'm having a great time, often too good a time, and I'm paying for it the next day. I see so many people on the road and we have so much fun out there, that when I come home, I just love, love, love being on the couch and hanging with the girls."
