'The Teen Mom OG' Star Farrah Abraham Confirms Adoption Rumours; To Welcome New Family Member Soon

Farrah Abraham is a single mother to a six-year-old daughter, but the 24-year-old is ready to add another member to her small family. The Teen Mom OG revealed that she is currently in the process of adopting.

And, she cannot be more excited about it! She told Us Weekly: "I'm happy to confirm I'm moving forward in my adoption process. This means I will be making some changes in my career to welcome a new addition to my family." The television star added that she feels very blessed to be given this opportunity.

Abraham has been in the center of criticism recently after she shared Sophia's first-grade school photo. Eagle-eyed Internet users noticed that the six-year-old was wearing makeup including a well-contoured nose line.

The single mother was also chastised by the online crowd when she allowed little Sophia to open her own social media accounts. She has profiles on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter -- all of which are being actively promoted by the reality star.

Abraham also felt it was only necessary to wax her then-three-year-old daughter's unibrow, as Starcasm noted. The reality star did not comment about the hate storm directed at her.

However, she and her pals in "Teen Mom OG' are building up the drama this season. According to in Touch Weekly, fellow reality celebs Catelyn Lowell and Amber Portwood threw shade at the single mom.

Earlier this week, a short video that popped up online showed Abraham's MTV costars talking badly about her. The 24-year-old reposted the video on her Instagram account, calling Portwood and Lowell "losers I work with for the money" with the hashtags #fake, #trash, #patheticparents.

On a Twitter post, Portwood hit back by saying she and friends had one night out. She also defended herself by explaining that she was not 'busted' as people thought because she was only expressing what she really thinks.

The new season on "Teen Mom OG" will premiere on January 4, 2016.
