American Idol Kris Allen Expects Second Child With Wife Katy O'Connell; Talks About American Idol Season Finale

American Idol Season 8 winner, Kris Allen, is happy to announce the exciting news that he and Katy will have their second child. It will be a good year for the blessed couple. 

Eonline.com reported that Kris Allen shared the news that he will have his baby No. 2 with Katy O'Connell with his fans on social media last weekend. Allen wrote on Instagram showing the picture of his first baby, Oliver, wearing a "Big Brother" shirt, "#2016 is gonna be a good year!"

His fans asked about how being a father changed his outlook. "Everything has become less selfish," he said. The "Live Like We're Dying" singer further added, "It's a hard lesson, but a good one."  When asked his wife Katy O'Connell about her delivery due date. She then revealed that her second child due date is in June.

According to Billboard.com, besides Kris Allen having a new baby, the singer will also have his new album too. His new record will be released in March. He is also asked to appear in American Idol's farewell season. The new season of American Idol is on Jan. 6.

Kris Allen confirmed his appearance in the American Idol farewell season. American Idol tweeted, "Hey there Kris! Will you be on Idol any time in this final season? Hope to see you!"

The singer retweeted, "I will. Details coming soon." He then received another tweet from American Idol last Jan. 2. "So glad you'll be on Idol this season! Can't wait for them to see you."

Meanwhile, Kris Allen was seen at OC Christmas Extravaganza Concert and Ball at Christ Cathedral last Dec. 23, 2015, in Garden Grove, California..
