Country Singer Craig Strickland Dies In Peace: Helen Strickland

After Craig Strickland was declared missing in December on a duck hunting trip with his friend Chase Morland in Oklahoma, the Backroad Anthem lead singer's body was found dead yesterday. His wife, Helen Strickland, expressed her feelings as regards her husband's death.

As reported on Us Weekly, in her Instagram account, Helen said that, when the late singer's body was found, they can now rest knowing that her husband is now at home with his Father in heaven. She also said that her husband felt no pain in his final moments as he only felt like he was falling asleep.

Moreover, she expressed her gratitude towards the fans' support. She said that there his death was the most peaceful way for him to be back in the arms of the Lord and that the fans' prayers played a role on making it happen.

Lastly, she said that she knows that her husband saw Jesus in his final moments and he walked together with Him towards Everlasting Life. She ended her message by writing: "I love you with all my heart Craig Michael."

On the other hand the, Strickland's band mates also expressed their sadness towards their lead singer's death. As posted on Billboard, the band wrote on their Facebook page that they have lost their brother, their best friend and their bandmate.

The band also expressed their love to those people who are close to the late musician especially to his parents and his widow, and for all those who have been awaiting news since he and Morland went missing on a hunting trip.

Strickland and Chase Morland died of hypothermia due to the storm Goliath. Morland's body was found two days after they were declared missing as rescuers had seen their boat had capsized while Strickland's body was only found yesterday at Bear Creek Cove, near the Kaw Lake area.
