For many years now, it has been a trend in the Hollywood arena to adapt a book and create a movie out of it and most of these adaptations have been widely successful, take for example the "Harry Potter" franchise, the "Lord of The Rings," "Twilight," etc. One of the most-talked about book turned to movie is the trilogy by E.L. James "Fifty Shades of Grey".
Finding the perfect actors to play the characters in the book is often a very important factor on how the success of the movie will go and "Fifty Shades of Grey" had numerous hiccups with choosing the right actors with many whom backed out on the last second. Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan were brave enough to take the main acting role in the movie.
The "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie was not smooth sailing at first but, as a box office hit, it surely puts a pin on the critics that gave bad reviews to the movie. Johnson who plays Anastasia Steele in the movie, the innocent lover of Christian Grey (Dornan), recently opened up about her life after "Fifty Shades of Grey."
"I'm proud of Fifty Shades of Grey. I don't need to distance myself from that. The more work I do, the more the general public sees the different things I can do. Do I think it opened doors? Yeah. More people know my name," Johnson answered on an interview with Vogue U.K. The 26-year-old actress then added that doing the "Fifty Shades" movie definitely opened up new opportunities for her in the movie world.
Johnson will reprise her role in the second installment of the trilogy "Fifty Shades Darker" together with Dornan. Numerous stars are also rumored to join the cast on the second movie including Ian Somerhalder, Charlize Theron, Henry Cavill and Cara Delevingne.
The movie is set to be released in theaters on Feb. 10, 2017.
